The purpose of music in worship at First Presbyterian Church is to praise God as a church family. Music is selected, prepared, and presented with the desire to make worship more meaningful to all participants. Additionally, our music program offers training in learning and improving musical skills. Opportunities for participation are offered to all ages and all skill levels.
In addition to providing music for our weekly church worship, our musicians also participate in some special musical events during the year, such as the Annual Delaware Handbell Festival in OWU’s Gray Chapel includes our Adult Handbell Ensemble and features our organist, Joe Musser.
Instrumental groups combine varied instruments to make use of the myriad of talent among our members. They serve as accompaniment or present special selections from time to time. All participants are welcome.
